I'm looking for a switched power source that is only hot when the ignition is in the "run" position and not hot when in the "off" or "accessory" positions. I've found the accessory plug near the BCM in the passenger footwell, but it's hot in both ignition positions. Where can I find what I'm looking for? Is there a fuse that I can utilize?

Not sure what wires you found, but there are three taped and stowed wires in the BCM area: Black (ground), Yellow (switched with ignition), and orange(hot at all times).

Those are the ones. The yellow is hot also with the ignition in the "accessory" position. I'm powering a wideband and don't want it powered unless the ignition is in the "run" position.

I guess you must be one of those frequent users of the accessory position. Personally, I have not used the accessory position since high school.......parking with girls......

I've powered my WB to the switched connection, the PIA is the power drops when cranking so when it starts the WB goes thru its warm up process again.
That 10 seconds of missed information is painful especially when working on the start up tune. Or you forget to restart the scanner & you have skewed cells.

Is the gound wire found here suitable for use for the widebend system or should I ground directly to the frame?
