Hello,
I have replaced the knock sensors on my car 4 or 5 times throughout the 5 1/2 years and ~22k miles I’ve put on my 2000 c5 corvette, with the most recent change being today with the check engine code coming back within 5-10 miles.
i have changed the valve cover gasket before as well, is there something I’m doing wrong (I torque spec them) or is my wiring harness haunting me.
Some of us have figured out that if you run a NAPA part # MPE DKS238SB and torque to what it tells you in those instructions it will stop the code and you should be good to go. I can't tell you how long but most that have done it have not come back on saying it came back.
Do some searching around... I'm assuming you're using new AC Delco knock sensors which many of us on CorvetteForum have identified as not working. @Cutlassmaster has the right solution.
