One of my headlights does not close all the way. Very close to closing but seems as though the stop is improperly adjusted. Can anyone tell me where the stop is located. The manual open and close **** will not change the stop location.
Is it your right headlamp??? And just out of curiosity is your car Pewter??
I know several other owners of Pewter Vettes and all of ours have the same issue....its barely noticeable but it sticks up just a little bit...and no I don't know how to adjust it...but then again I haven't worried about it.
If its to raise or lower the cover only a small amount try this;
Remove the 3 screws holding the black headlamp bezel in place (phillips screws), push down on the bezel at the lower front (below the headlight) pushing the lower part of the bezel under the headlight. The top part of the bezel will release from a spring clip under the headlight cover. With the bezel removed, notice on each side of the headlamp cover and two screws at the rear of the cover, two torx screws (black in color). If you loosen these (I'd do it one at a time) you can get get about 1/8 to 1/4 inch adjustment. Also note under the headlamp cover two white adjustment screws that you can back in/out to maintain the correct gap. Once you align these, tighten the torx screws and replace your bezels.
