Idle
I have a 2000 C5 automatic with 79,000 miles. My random issue is sometimes when slowing down from say 2500 rpm idle will stay at 2500 rpm. Have to put in neutral and turn key off start again and idle is correct. I have cleaned t body and replaced TPS and APPS. have codes P1285 and P1286 that will not clear.

First thing trouble codes are not part numbers...where did you purchase these sensors ??...do you know what sets these 2 DTC's ??...did you check voltages of the APP with a DMM or with a scan tool which are simple 3 wire potentiometers and check the TAC module wiring ??...you can have a short to ground or to power...if this testing is over your head seek out an auto electric shop in your area.
