NEED HELP WITH FRONT CRANK SEAL

I have a 2001 c5 base. Heads, cam, oil pump… all the good stuff. Replaced balancer with a 1 piece unit from summit. New gaskets for the whole motor. Noticed a leak starting at the front running down to the back of the oil pan and found the crank seal was leaking. Replaced the seal and somehow broke the timing cover taking it out. So a new timing cover, btr gasket, tty bolt. I centered the timing cover using a Mr.gasket alignment tool after all of that and somehow still have a leak in the same place. Any input on what could be the cause of this consistent leak? This is my 3rd seal now. First was original, second had an indentation from the factory that I found before taking it out. This one was flawless but still leaks!!!

Does balancer have keyway slot? If yes, did you seal it ?

just did this job this past weekend , fill that keyway void with rtv and smooth it out. leave the timing cover bolts loose , seat the balancer, torque the timing cover, torque the balancer bolt.
