Hey! Was digging through forum posts and saw that there was a DIY halo mod for these tail lights. I decided to open mine up and have come to find out that the board in my tails are different than the one in the other post.
Anyone familiar with tracing PCBs or know how I can modify this set to do the halo mod?
These are some aftermarket no mane tails I got for cheap.
Not a yikes. Can’t complain for $50 compared to $600+, especially if the modification is pulled off
It's a yikes for those of us with an automotive design background. I understand that this works for most folks that will always choose the cheapest option despite poor quality/safety.

No issues with quality or safety! I wouldn’t be surprised if most tails name brand or not are made from the same factory. Take care!
Looks like the same general principle as the original halo taillights mod could apply, i.e. disconnect a diode from one (or more) of the PCB traces.
Unfortunately the photo quality isn't quite good enough for me to follow the traces and determine a possible change to complete the mod.

if I went and took a higher quality photo do you think you’d be able to determine what changes should be made?
