Ok so this is my third time replacing this lower rad support bar I keep breaking them and one the support bar bends in it takes my radiator out to. Is there somthing I can custom fab that’ll work better then the current lower support bar or a way I can kelp the radiator in without this bar at all?
Yea, I'm also curious what you are doing that has broken that thing 3 times. Are you hitting inclined driveway approaches too hard?
Check out this one from Cranes Corvette Supply. It's expensive but made in USA and claims to be stronger. I bought this and put it on my C5 after hitting a tire and bending the original one I had. I wouldn't waste your time with those $70 chinese ebay ones. Probably junk. Either buy a used one that's a real Chevy part off ebay or consider this Cranes version. I also added Fangs from Sac City Corvette, which help that skid bar/radiator support slide across anything it contacts.
I keep breaking it because I keep crashing it… it’s a drift build and I took it to the track and dipped off track into the grass and with how low the car is the support bar bent in twords the radiator and cracked my radiator. And then the other two times I spun out into somthing almost like a curb so all completely user error. I know I’m probably going to keep crashing it comes with the sport but was hoping there was a way I could protect my radiator better.
i was hoping there is something i could do to have the radiator hold without the need of the support bar because of how far forward it comes I always make contact with it when spinning out and it ruins my radiator everytime.
