If you ever have a chance to unbolt the cat section, do yourself a favor.
Start it up. :reddevil :D
Man, what a sound. Blap-blap-blap, ROOOOAAAR!!!!! You can feel each pulse like it was a old 454 with side pipes, especially while sitting in the garage...
From what I was told, there was an instant dispersal from the living room, dogs and cats ran upstairs, and the GF ran to the garage. Neighbors came outside to see who was tuning a NASCAR racecar.
It's a welcome testosterone replenishment, especially after being questioned at length on why one would pass cars on two-lane roads. :skep:
I just had my GHL installed a few weeks ago. While the guy was doing the install, I asked for a gut of the pups only. ( To get a bit of the blat blat blat, instead of hmmmmmm, since they are only used for the first 5 minutes and only after a cold start) A few minutes later, there was open headers in the shop. :D Needless to say, we had to hear the tone. :D I mean who can blame ya. Right? A Few short revs. Maybe a short trip around the block with open headers. Nope. Nothing doing. Just a few short revs. :)
You should hear a really mean cam (239/251 on 106lsa) thump thru some cutouts. I had a guy tell me he didn't know new corvettes could sound so tough. Although, my wife (and neighbors) don't appreciate it much even with the PRT's hooked up.
