Should the top part of the shaft be attached to the right or left side of the bottom shaft?
Don't know why it isn't a one piece, but it does give you an option. I kind of liked it on the right side of the shaft. It just felt a little more comfortable.

I set mine on the left with a MGW pistol grip.
Can't go wrong.
Don't know why it's two pieces...more machine work but smaller
package to ship.
