Default Start up Problem

Ref: 99 C5,
Got back from being Deployed for 5 months(Military), 99 Vette was stored fast(thought only to be gone for a month), so no time to disconnect Battery or store Properly, tried to start up normal, nothing(no lights,dash.etc..).
Before I try and Jump start I need to know exactly what I have to do Properly or correctly in order to not Damage any thing (radio, security ..etc..) I dont have my owners manuel yet (will be 3-4 weeks before everything gets delivered by transportation), and being Stationed Overseas it is a long wait for any parts or service to be done around here, Can any one point me in the right direction as to what exactly to do..?
Standing By and cant wait to get on the road again . Thanks for anyones Help.

I dont think that you will have much of a problem since the battery is already dead! The memory has probobly drained from the computer as well. So just disconnect your old battery and install your new one ,or jump start it and let it relearn it self and go drive it . It should be ok after that and your radio setting should all be there but you may have to relearn your key fob.

good luck. :seeya

If you have the time...........a battery charger would be the safest way to get going.
