My c5 is my only car, so which one of these converters would you guys think is best.....I only go to the track once a month, but i do love racing.....Trying to find the best TC that would lower my 1/4 mile time with out hurting my everyday driving....Thanx
MY C5 has 3.15, automatic, flp ( headers, x-pipe, off road pipes ), blackwing, corsa pace catback, NGK tr55...
I would go with the Vig.2800 and I would also install 3.42 or 3.73 gears and avoid paying for labor twice if you install your gears and converter separately.
The gears will give you better acceleration though out the entire RPM range and improve driveability by making the converter feel tighter (more like stock).
do ur TC and your gears at the same time to save u on the labor. dont be scared to go to a high stall TC. driveability is very good on C5s with high stall TCs unlike f-bodies. i have a 4000 stall vig 2.25str and my driveability is great. i still use the car to cruise all over and i hardly ever go to the track anymore. also go with 3:42's and not no more than 3:73's if u ride on the highway often
:iagree:
I have a SY3500 and 3.73 and the driveability is still excelent. If I were to do it over again, I would go with 3.90's and a SS3800 or ST4000. IMO, that would the maxium stall and gear for a A4 that gets driven on the parkway.
