Default Collision Repair

Hope I'm posting under the correct topic.
Well it happened. I bought the car I loved in Sept 02 and a drunk rear-ended me Feb. 13th 03. I was sitting at a four way stop and this guy plows into my 99frc. He hit me @ 50mph or so. I got a really good deal on this car and (because I'm a poor B...) could not feasibly afford another vette for years, so to my question.

As I had mentioned, I have an frc. The damage is pretty extensive. The trunk is crushed and the plastic "beam" that the rear quarter panel attaches to is splintered. Currently the car is at Kerbeck mitsubitchy in Pleasantville NJ.
I believe Kerbeck is the largest Corvette dealer on the East coast.
My question is two part
1: Does anyone know Kerbeck reputation for repairing corvettes? I trust them so far but obviously want the best repair shop for my car in the area.

2: should the roof be removed to facilitate repairs? The repair shop said they may be able to replace the parts without removing the top, but it looks like it must be removed to me.
Sorry I am so looong winded and thanks in advance for any info that might help to alleviate my worries.

Contact Phoenix Auto Body in Phoenixville, Pa at 610-933-8938. Lee is the manager. They are in the same building as us, Phoenix American Motorsports. They have fixed many wrecked street and race Corvettes. They do all our body and paint work for the Corvettes we build to race.

That is crazy to have that body shop or any other body shop remove the FRC top, it is air craft glued and welded to the pillars  , God BLESS them if they can do it on your car without any problems but I would have a heart attack about that :lurk: . GOOD LUCK !

The roof panel isn't metal so it can't be welded. It has seven bolts securing it to the tub. One each by the sunvisors, one each at the corner where the rear upper part of the door glass meets the corner of the roof panel, and three below the rear window glass. You are correct in that it is also glued to the tub, but I think it's urethane. I can check to verify what adhesive is used.

I had my car fixed by Joe last Feb after I did over $15,000 in damage to my new 2002 coupe. Dam stupid runflats! very cold pavement and curves don't mix!

100% have it fixed by Joe in my opinion. His people can put that car together blind folded. Joe even fixed a spot where I got keyed after he fixed the whole car! Did it for Free!

Tell Joe if he could satisfy Jason R. from North Brunswick, He'll know who I am, he can satisfy anyone. Car only had 2,5oo miles on it when he did the work!

Had a total repaint along with new hood, wheels, tires, wheel bearings, new rear glass hatch and so on.

Car has zero orange peel! Looks much, much better than new!

Like any shop, it might take some time to get it 100% right, but joe will work with you until it's done to your satisfaction.
