Will I Get DIC Errors w/ Upradging Wheels

Yes, you will get error messages every time you start the car. Find someone with a Tech 2 programmer, and you can program the sensors out of the car's computer to not get any error messages.

These guys are right. Your car is too old to turn the sensors off.
The other thing that can give you DIC errors is if you screw up active handling by changing the outside diameter of the tire. For your car, the stock outside diameter is 25.6" F and 26.6" Rear. If you stay close to the stock diameter you can avoid headaches. Remember, it is not the diameter of the wheel that matters, it is the diameter of the wheel with the tire installed that you pick out.
Also note that changing the rear diameter will throw your speedometer accuracy off in a C5.

275/40/18F = 26.6" O.D.
295/35/18R = 26.1" O.D.
You are proposing bigger (O.D.) tires in the front than the rear.
These are two rules of thumb that you might find helpful:
1. Stay as close to stock O.D. as practical F & R.
2. Keep O.D. of front about 1" smaller than O.D. of rear to avoid active handling issues.
These are the sizes of 2 possibilities for the front if you want 18's up front:
265/35/18 = 25.3"
275/35/18 = 25.5"
If you want to buy two tires, leave the rears on and go with the 275's in the front. You will wind up with sizes nearly identical to stock.
If you want to buy four tires and put 295's on the rear, go with 265's in the front. The 295 rears are slightly smaller than non-Z06 stock and the 265 fronts will help you maintain the diameter separation front to rear. Your speedometer will not be too far off - about 1 mph at normal highway speeds.
Not all tire manufacturers have all of those sizes available.
All this assumes that the rims you are buying are the proper width for the tires.
 If you want to see what can happen by putting bigger fronts than rears on, here is this week's example of the effects of a mickey mouse setup on active handling:

 If you want to try a mouse setup and have to get rid of the tires, here is a good place to look for another pidgeon:

Be aware that everybody and their grandmother sells Z06 wheels. There are differences in appearance, quality, and width. Whatever you get stay away from screwing with your tire pressure sensors - just put them in the new wheels. You should only need air in the 30 psi range to start with - adjust up or down as you see fit.
If you are not comfortable with these concepts, try to find somebody reputable locally to help you. Even if it costs a few bucks more you can avoid a lot of headaches and have some recourse. It's not like putting new hubcaps on a Mustang.
