If it is important, I can check this out on Monday; however, I ask why, since if you set the DIC to display trans temp, it will display trans temp until you switch to another mode.

So true, did they change something on your 50th Anv. model?

WhiteC5Vette:
I am asking for one of the other members who races his Z06 on the road courses. He wants to know trans temp instead of oil and since I have the Tech II he asked me. But since I didn't have a clue, I came to the Corvette encyclopedia for my answer.
If you could check and let me know I would appreciate it.
Doesn't the ZO6 have the same DIC display as the Coupe? If it doesn't, then there is a different program, and I can look, but I can't actually test it since I don't have a Tech II.
Re: Question on Tech II programming (WhiteC5Vette)
I don't think so, I have never seen this on our Tech II, I will double check tomorrow though. There is a section on the Tech II where you can go look at the guage cluster info, but I don't recall being able to switch to trans temp.
Re: Question on Tech II programming (WhiteC5Vette)
No,
I've been through this a million times.....it can't. Only workaround I found was to install electrical harness inline with the tran temp sensor with a resistor when I want to display the trans temp I open the drivers door and reach under the car and switch the switch on which gets a trans overtemp to light on the DIC and then switch it off which gets the current temperature displayed. You have to do this every time you startup the car. Its a work-around but it does work well.
