FLP Install Complete

1). Plan for plenty of time. This is not at quick job. Budget 5 to 6 hours minimum.
2). Have an extra sent of hands around.
3). Passenger side went in from the top, driver from the bottom.
4). Loosen the starter for extra room. Do not remove it completely, just remove the bolts.
5). The x-pipe was by far the most pain in the butt. Things start off by looking like they won't go together. During the install, I made some comments that would make a sailor blush. :bb Get all the bolts started and then snug everything up. All the parts will come together align perfectly. It will take some force to get things together.
6). While you have everything apart, new plugs wires might be a good idea. I went with Taylor's that can withstand up to 600 degrees. A couple of the wires are going to be VERY close to the headers.
7). Drive the car for awhile, letting everything good and hot and re-torque the header bolts. To get a perfect seal.
8). Invest in a good set of mechanics gloves. My hands are so cut up right now, I can barely type this post. :yesnod:
9). The headers to not come with instructions so check out the following links for good instructions.

10). Last, do not be surprise if during first fire-up you see some smoke. and have a slight oder. It's just the new system burning in.
Other than that, good luck. I am totally impressed with the system. Throttle response is improve and the sound is much improved. All and all and very happy with the system. Hope this info helps some people. :yesnod:

I know you will enjoy them as much as I enjoy mine :) :)

Mine also were also very difficult to get aligned properly. I am really happy with now but I wasn't during the initial installation. The good news is that once they are on, if you have to take them off they go back on easily. I have had mine off to replace the gaskets and everything went back together with no problem.

Besides, look at it this way, good way to get new blood, let out some of the old
Sound is worth it though right
