I would like to do some miner mods to my car that will enhance the performance not necessarily give it more horse power. It’s quit adequate as is.
I just want to make it run a little better if that’s possible.
Nothing too exotic just stuff I can do myself.
I do know one end of the wrench from the other as I work on the Navy’s E/F F-18s,
So I can do the work if it doesn't take a lot of special tools.
Any advice on this?
TIA’
Well, lowering is a good one to increase performance. You could go as little as a 1/4 inch up to an inch with the stock bolt. Do a search for specifics.
Also you can remove the throttle body and hand-polish the intake side. Do a TB by pass at the same time.
Also, rattle proofing the doors so the stereo sounds better is another easy one. There is a TSB noting the rattle areas.
Heat insulating the tunnel is another winner.
These will enhance the driving experience for little money.
Now a step up...Purchase a Blackwing and an X-Pipe (or an entire exhaust system like the Grizzly mentioned in another thread.)
blackwing takes no special tools - and about an hour of your time and $200. an exhaust is a little more work, and takes more $$, but is worth every penny. You'll get looks and sound, but minimal power gains. :seeya

:iagree: The exhaust makes your Corvette sound like a Corvette not  of the factory.
