I failed to read the instructions carefully, and interupted the connection during Powerloader programming. Now the car won't start and has series of error msgs - reduce power, low fuel etc.
Could I have seriously jacked up my PCM? I have disconnected the negative terminal in hopes that it might all clear by tomorrow.
I think you done the correct procedure. If that don't work, give Steve Cole a call Monday. I know he is hard to contact, but the last time I called him, the secretary answered and handed the phone to Steve. If that don't work, then you gotta go to the Chevy dealer and ask them to reflash the computer and as a last resort, its gotta be replaced. I had my Powerloader removed/computer reflashed back to stock when I had the Yank 3000 converter installed. The Chevy dealership charged me $35 bucks to do the reflash...
Thank you very much for your reply. Is it possible for me to just take the PCM to the dealer for them to reflash. Otherwise, I would have to tow my car there... I just hope the physical PCM is not damaged by this stupidity on my part. :nonod:
I believe if you disconnect the battery terminal and wait a few minutes the reconnect it you will get it back to normal. Then reload the powerloader as the directions say.

This happened to me....exactly...I pulled the PCM and hd the dealer reflash to stock..then was very careful to upload again..everything was fine after wards..You didn't do any harm. The PCM just went into a default safe mode..get it reflashed!:yesnod:
I knocked off the connector during the download. The easiest thing to do is to remove the pcm and take it to the dealer. I sent mine to Steve but I live close and talked to him.
