 I purchased the Redline tranny & rear end oils.I want to do what's best for the car, but after so many conflicting reports, I'm nervous about putting them in my car. Is there any real proof that Redline Oils could do damage. Don't want to open a can of worms, but I would like to know.
Thanks

I've read posts saying they had rear end or tranny problems due to using Redline oil (were those problems really do to the oil ??). Also read posts saying they love the oil and never a problem.
Some say it's not certified. Everything is perfect with my car, I want to put the best oil in that will make the tranny&rear to last for many many miles to come. I just don't want to leave anything to chance.
Thanks :smash:
Speedy, that Redline stuff is terrible. What ever you do, DO NOT USE IT. ;)
Instead, package it up and ship it directly to me. I'll give you a buck a quart for that awful stuff or better yet call me at 555-5555 and I'll arange for ground transportation. Or, I can swing by and pick it up since we both live is Southeastern PA.
I have Redline in my Tranny and Diff. No problems at all. You will even notice that its alot easier to shift with the Redline in the Tranny. When I replaced my 3.42 which had Redline, it looked perfect.
I used Redline in my vette for 20.000 miles. When the rear gears were upgraded we examined the old pieces, found them to be in great shape. I run the car hard!
What I liked was that the additive is already in the gear oil.
