Anyone ever have a problem unlocking the passenger door electronically? I've noticed that intermitently I cannot unlock the passenger door from the drivers control pad or the passengers. After a few minutes of driving everything is well.
Along the same lines....my doors are both starting to have problems unlocking using the FOB. I've tried my extra, never used FOB also with the same situation. I can walk up to the car pushing the unlock and the lights come on etc. so it received the signal but the doors may take 5 or 6 pushes in a row to get them to unlock. Also when I get in the sar and insert the key it doesn't always set the memory positions as saved. The wheel may stay forward or the seat may not move but the wheel will?? Also many times when I turn the ignition off and remove the key the doors won't unlock. Any ideas...its a 2002 so I'll take it to the dealer soon just looking for insight. Thanks
brianw21,
Sorry for doubling up on your post...TTT anyway
If both doors are not unlocking,I might suspect the keyless entry module which is actually called a door lock control module :yesnod: This module communicates with the seat control module and door control modules, and if faulty will cause other systems to not function properly...
I had this problem on the passenger side, and I think it was mechanical. I gave the little lock flipper a good back-and-forth thrashing, and it's never happened since.
