for what it is worth, i took mine of. engine was surging, rough idle...gave a little better throttle response. i'm not to good at this electrical stuff, however the stock is calibrated for your engine better than aftermarket mafs. ended up removing the screen and buying smooth maf ends and got better results buy reinstalling the stock. also there are some guys buying the zo6 mafs that are calibrated for ls1's, haven't tried these but they sound better than say...granatelli. also cheaper buy 200 dollars. :flag :flag :flag :flag

Hi pdd000 You get more air witch gives you a little more power, but is if enough to notice. I don't think you will no it's there with out a dyno. I bought the aftermarket MAF sensor on my 97 vett, but with the 00 I just Modified my MAF sensor and air box and I know I pick up some better gas mileage, but again I really don't feel like that is made that big improvement, but it's some.
