Default heads question.

i have only done a few mods so far, and ready to put a heads/cam package on. i have a 98 and already installed flp's long tube headers w/ no problems. i was leaning towards buying some used ls6 heads with the intake manifold, and send them somewhere to be ported and such. however i was told by 74' vette owner that i would have to change my exhaust set up to work with the exhaust ports on the new heads. is this true? if so what changes need to be done to make it work? thanks in advance :flag :flag :flag :flag :flag :flag

no, there is not difference between LS1 and LS6 as far as the exhaust port to header alignment. your headers will bolt fine to the LS6 head. The smog lines off the header is different from year to year only. doesnt matter which head.

You wont have to pay the core charge, and on ls6 head porting that saves you a lot of money. You did good. :smash:
