Reliable Harmonic Balancer Needed!!
Well any one following my saga already knows that the ASP UD pulley I installed (along with a myriad of other parts for my stage II upgrade) failed miserably by completely separating from the core. When I pulled it off yesterday it came off in two distinct pieces. 1. the outer part that the belts travel on and 2. the aluminum core part that slides on to the crank. Ok?
It is on it's way as we speak to the manufacturer who says he will send me a refund after reviewing pictures of it. I also sent the pictures to two trusted forum members both of whom use the ASP UD Pulley.
So ..what to do?..what is out there?
1. Return to stock
2. Purchase another ASP UD Pulley.
3. Purchase the ATI Super Damper.
I like number 3. But naturally I have many questions.
a. From what I gather I need to install a key on the crank?
b. How complicated is this?
c. I installed the double rollmaster timing chain..does this complicate
the install?
d. Is the ATI super damper adjustable? (after install for balancing issues)
Oh yeah..are there other, better options? All input appreciated!
