Default Dash Blackout UPDATE- ?fixed it

Last week I posted about intermittent dash blacking out along with radio , wipers, windows, hvac...others posted with similiar complaints. Some pointed to fuse box sources, others thought it could be faulty grounds. Yesterday as I was prepping for a trackday I kept restarting the car to get the dash to light up AND I THINK I FOUND THE PROBLEM.. looks like the ignition key was getting stuck over towards START, and not returning back to ON.,,Not enough for the starter to crank, but not reutning all the way to ON, So a little twist of the key(LEFT) would bring back power to the dash. My problem was somteimes fixable with a restart. That was probably just the key winding up in the correct place. If I flip the key upside down and reinsert it , it seems to occur less. I know ignition tumblers can wear out from wives who have 5lbs of keys on a keyring, but all i have is the fob. the key does usually live in the ignition as the car is garaged . Remember how your dash/DIC goes black momentarily while the starter cranks, I guess my key was getting stuck between ON and START.........sorry I dont know how to insert my old post here, search on Snuckley. I'm glad I didnt show up at my local dealer who sells 2 vettes per year and doesnt have current manuals as I had planned. They probably would have just replaced fuse boxes and harnesses and I still would be in the dark. I was not looking forward to running Pocono with no oil temp or prssure. I'll try to see if it improves with the other key.. Probably ask for a new ignition/tumbler unit.... :D :flag
