:iagree: I changed from 2.73 to 3.42 & lost two mpg. but well worth it. After doing the change if I lost 5 mpg it would still be worth it :) I didn't buy my vet for gas milage
I am at an overall 19.8 mpg average since I bought the car in Jan 2002. I have had most of the mods below since summer of last year except for the long tubes. I usually drive with the A/C on 7-8 months of the year.
BigDog,
I have an A4 w/3:15's and typically avg 24-26 mpg. I think that's pretty good and it really doesn't vary much with the type of driving I do. Heavy on the pedal or lite. Had the 2:73's in my 97 coupe and the 3:15's are well worth the drop in mileage.
I get 21-23 with a mix of highway/city driving. And I'm not light on the Gas. When I take the Vette on a trip and do all highway driving I get 31 MPG!!
