Default Wide Wheels....

I have called around and received mixed answers, but is it possible to get a stock or replica c5/Z06 aluminum wheel widened due to the differences in welding aluminum and steel? Has anyone done this to an aluminum wheel?

For those interested: Wheels America in Miami FL said they can widen aluminum wheels and they will retain their original strength. Cost was quoted to be about 200 per wheel.

Helps get 17" 11.5 wide wheel for the 315 Nitto's.

I am sure it can be done. I have seen a set on for sale that were widened either on here or e-bay. If I remember correctly it was a place in Miami that did the work. Try a search in the for sale section you might be able to find the set that I saw (it was almost a year ago though).

Good luck. I think it would be cool to have wider stock wheels
