torque converter install question?
The corvette shop is saying it is an extra couple hours of work to change my TC, They already have ripped out the rear for a 3:73 upgrade....I was under the impression that this was not any extra work. Anyone have an idea whether or not I am getting hosed! Thanks! :smash:

They have to remove the transmission and they'll probably remove the torque tube. It can be done without removing the torque tube. I didn't remove mine when I did my install. A couple hours sounds right. Good Luck!

How long was/is the rest of the job? Book time is like 6 hours, that's generous IMHO if the shop has the right tools and knows what they're doing.

Its no more then 1 1/2 to 2 hours total to swap the converter. That includes topping off with fluid. :seeya
