Today I changed out my air intake for one of the flo-through types and the car started acting funny.
The first thing that happened was that the Low fuel warning came on the display. I had more then a half take of gas. I turn the car off and then when I restarted it the warning went away.
I drove the car over to another town to fill the tank for a trip tomorrow. On the way back I stopped to see a friend and when I started up again the warning came on again and the gauge showed 1/8th of a tank and the HUD also showed no gas. After a few minutes the warning went out and the gauge showed a full tank.
Also my car never showed more then 192 deg water temp. since I’ve had it but after the mod it went up to 223 for a while and now is back down to 193.
Is there a good reason for all this??
Re: Low fuel warning came on the display. help!! (wtlytng)
I have a feeling that your problem has nothing to do with the air intake, but is simply the common fuel sender problem. If you're in warranty, take it to the dealer. If not, get ready to bend over... ;)

I don't see how the air intake could make the car do this. I also think this may be the fuel sending unit problem. Probably will require a trip to the dealer.
