That is a common code - used to get it on my Camaro SS as well. Has to do with your AIR pump. Mine turned out to be a recall item at the dealer, so no cost in getting it fixed. If you run headers or other mods, sometimes this code gets triggered. If your PCM gets a custom program (usually along with and during a dyno tune session) you can ask the tech to disable that code alert...
P0410 AIR System-B
I need more technical information about this code?
Underneath your left headlight is an air pump that runs at cold startup for less than a minute, you can hear it, it injects air into both exhaust manifolds to bring down emission levels. The O2 sensors look for an anticipated change. The injection points are just past two check valves mounted close to exhaust manifolds, passenger side is behind the intake manifold , drivers side is the round black valve sticking out of exhaust manifod. There is a relay mounted above your PCM to activate a vacuum valve mounted on your air pump. Your problem could be seized air pump, faulty solenoid, open vacuum line , two stuck check valves etc. Or possibly H/C installation ( hard to tell from your signature ). Its not damaging, but you probably won't pass emissons testing.
Good luck.
Youe air check valves are probably stuck shut. My 02 Z06 had the same problem. First one check valve and then both. There are two air system codes one for only one bank and one for the other. If you get both codes, both are stuck shut.
I have Stainlessworks headers and convinced the dealer to fix it under warrenty. If your out of warrenty, just remove the check valves and clean them out with carb cleaned and see if that fixes them.
