Thinking about supercharging, need help.
I just bought a 99 black/black 6 speed vette. I was thinking about supercharging it, and maybe getting it up into the 500 hp range somehow. I dont know much about American muscle because ive been into hondas for the past 3-4 years.. I was wondering everything I will need for the process and how much this is going to cost..

Here in Chicago, a Vortech unit (installed) runs about $10K!
Thre have been several articles about a Lingenfelter unit (Magnacharger?) that is quite a bit cheaper but requires a change to a high rise hood.
I'm considering the same mod (but only when drinking - I can't afford it sober!)

The complete kit WITH the required hood costs about $6,400 last I checked, but they will install and tune your car with the kit and paint matched hood for $8,400. YOUR SEARCH MAY BE OVER!

The $7k 430hp naturally aspirated option with my hood is probably where I will end up some day.
