Default Shocking suspension question..........

I have the base suspension with Y2k Z51 swaybars front and rear. I want to install Bilstein shocks, however I'm not sure if the sport version or the heavy duty version would be the best match. Anyone know? Thanks for your help....Steve :D

The Bilstein Sports are the ones comparable/replacement for the stock Z51 shocks. The Heavy Duty ones aren't as stiff.

I have the Bilstein Sports which replaced my Z51. They are much better but the ride is much harser. I have also lowered my car just over 1". This combo does allow me to corner much harder than before but it does sacrifice ride comfort. I donot mind this at all since I do like to play in my Vette, but passengers constantly note the ride. My wife almost hates being the passenger although she loves driving it

Hope that helps!

I have the base w/Z06 bars and just bought the sports. I'm hoping it will handle w/o being harsh (base springs & NRF).

Sorry, I wish I could tell you now, since I will be doing this mod in a few weeks...
