LOL PK :D ....and Matt, I hear ya....this is really gonna be a TRUE test of "apples to apples" before and after comparison :D can't wait to see what they produce :D
My car is in the shop right now having the headers installed. I would highly recommend "Rob" at fordspeed.com. He tunes Chevrolet and Ford and works on several of the bay areas fastest drag cars.is located at 66 Street and 118 Avenue North in St. Pete. I would also recommend A-1 Ceramacoat to do the coating. They are located at 8596 Seminole Boulevard in Seminole. I had mine coated inside and out and they look great!
GREAT information, thanks :D......will probably look into the coating, and as for the install, I'm pretty much comitted to Mike Norris right now, but since these guys are a lot closer, I may look into them for the install, however Mike has installed these before and since there's a little work to be done with the sensor swap and O2 sims, I'll probably stick with him, but again.....THANKS :D
that will and does look familar, especially since I visited Lou a few weeks back....looking at a local coater tomorrow and will be dropping the car off with Mike next week :D:D:D
and what's with that xpipe....that thing is a MONSTER :D
Here's a pic from under an early World Challenge car. Header length look similar?
We just installed our long tube headers on Don Campbell's World Challenge C5. With the headers and our tuning it picked up 50RWHP over his previous setup. :yesnod: :yesnod:
Guys, the reason they are so long is because they are 32". That is the lenght that GM engineers have deemed the perfect length for headers. If you look under a Winston Cup car you would see headers close to the same length. Mean Green you bought the best.
Lot's of excitement here, am waiting for mine to arrive last week of this month. Please post how easy/difficult they were to install as I plan to give it a go on my own. The headers will complete my Donaldson Blackwing, Hooker exhaust mods.

was a long (pun intended :D) and hard to decision to spend the coin, but after a lof of reading, I feel I made the right choice and it's at Norris Motorsports right now for install :D
I'm seriously thinking about these headers to compliment the G5 package.. Damn you Mean Green for making my mod list longer!! :p: Looks like I'll have to make an appointment for the next Modaholic session :(
