I just did a write-up on my website. I thank all the original people that performed this mod, as it really inspired to do it myself.
I originally bought a 9/16-18 die and threaded it down but after about month of driving I decided this wasn’t enough. So then bought a ~2" grade 8 bolt for $1.50 cut everything off and welded the bolt on. The write-up and lots of pictures can be found on my corvette page of my website. Thanks again for the inspiration guys, I've never looked back after doing this mod. :cheers:

OK here are some pics of it installed. You can really see how much shorter it is over OEM.
