Gatorback remedy sounds good. I did a web search and came up lame for Gatorback Belts. Where does a body go to acquire one???

Try a goodyear auto service center. I looked everywhere and this is the only place here in jacksonville that had them.

I just picked mine up from Autozone, $19.99 and $28.33 each. I went to Goodyear yesterday and the main drive belt was $60 by itself! I said thank you for their time.

My belt started squeking after getting coolant on it when I bled the system. I went to auto zone and got some belt dressing (comes in a spray can with a plastic tube nozzle). Sprayed the belts (with engine running) and it stopped.

I guess I should try replacing my belt. It somewhat sounded like a bearing or something giving early failure sounds. I suppose I would be replacing the belts anyway, so it sounds like a good place to start.

I agree, mine's got bad the last few days and it sucks to be sitting at a red light with you're car squeaking. The people in other cars are thinking "I have always heard that those corvettes are unreliable pieces of poopie"

I hope it is only belt squeak. Easily fixed.

Thanks to all who recommended the GY Gatorbacks! I replaced both belts Friday and the embarrassing chirping is gone!!! :hurray:

Glad to hear that. I read a bad review on another forum about the Gatorbacks. I ordered one anyway. Cant stand that 'FREAKIN SQUEAKIN....
Found myself turning up the stereo REALLY friggin loud and singing along at the top of my lungs to drown out the chirping at traffic lights. I'd rather draw attention to me than the 'Vette. Anyway, got a lot of WTFU looks... :bb

Put too much WD on mine yesterday....now my belt clicks bad (sticking to pulley) when cold and sounds like a bad waterpump...talk about embarrassing :bb
