ATI is the only real choice, imho. I run the full aluminum setup, 10%
underdrive. It is less than 1/2 the weight of OEM, and of course, 10%
underdrive.
GM Racing was involved in helping ATI pick the proper "rubbers" for the
unit, so I know they know what they are doing.
Where do you get the ATI full alluminum pulley???
ATI sells an aluminum pulley. It includes an aluminum hub where the standard one has a steel hub. The aluminum hub needs a new seal to work correctly.

So what you are saying is the ATI has less harmonics? Even though it has less underdrive @ 10%? This will produce the same HP (in effect) as the ASP @ 25% UD?

Over,
The ATI is a damper as well as an underdrive pulley. The ATI rep said that it dampens the torsional virbations which cause the crank to flex making timing more accurate to cylinder pistion. You really need to talk to someone at ATI, the pulley really seems to be the hot lick but it comes at a cost. Why do all of the ASA teams run this damper vs just an inexpensive ASP. Also ATI has contigency cash for regional and national races. You wont be able to pass tech at a big race with an ASP nor will you be able to win any extra contingency cash. :seeya:

The thing that had me puzzled was the ATI rep said that the Crank can flex as much as 8 degrees at high RPM from the combustion stroke. The ATI damper is supposed to eliminate this. All the big nascar teams run them.

And the ASA teams run the LS1 motor ( non-stock of course)- FWIW.
