AIR pump throwing codes? Thinking about disconnecting it?

AIR pump throwing codes? Thinking about disconnecting it?

Ive heard just by disconnecting it can stop the codes. Mine needs replaced but I dont want to pay for what is almost useless. Does anyone know for sure and can anyone tell me how to locate it so that I may perform this operation. Thanks, Vince

You can pull the fuse but then you will throw code. I edited it out. You should block the air tubes on the manifolds.

What codes are you getting (i.e. P0410)? Will make a difference in what you determine to do as a 'fix'. Please post the code(s).

It is in front of the left front wheel, behind a plastic panel. You'll need to get the front end in the air a bit (ramps are good). It's easy to disconnect/remove. I had no problems with codes when I disconnected mine.
