Look under suspension or GP for the QA1s
Yeah most people don't know that there is a shorter one available, that is the advantage of having a QA1 masterdistributor withing driving distance of our shop and a great guy that lets me walk around and open boxes and measure shock bodies and stroke.
With our shock dyno and rebuilding service, we can tailor the QA1s, Penske and Ohlin shocks to our customer's needs.
We are still fine tuning our QA1 coil over setup for the C5.

Re: HAL adjustable shocks on 2" Lowered Vette (C5stein)
Thanks Dylan,
Hey Brian,
I urge people not to make the shock do the springs work by running them extra stiff to make up for a soft spring. As UMRSWMR can attest, the shocks just don't hold up in that configuration.
This is the primary reason why we are developing an economical coil over package using the QA1 and coil over springs. It turns out that our setup is less money than you would spend, buying Z06 springs at the Chevy dealer and adding them to the QA1 shock package. For $1699 our coil overs are a smoking deal. Now on the other hand, if you can round up some Z06 or Z51 springs used, those with the QA1s would be more economical.
Agreed. Mine didn't last very long with the base suspension. Don't know if I was riding them too hard or what, but mine died in a hurry. We'll see how they handle the Z06 suspension. Of course, you mention the coil-over setup 1 HOUR after I mail the money order for for a set of Z06 springs. :smash: :smash:

Sorry about the bad timing
Let me know if you want us to rebuild your QA1s, we rebuild them, replace the oil with Amsoil and Dyno each one. We could do all four for $200, plus shipping.

The QA! does not have a provision for custom valving. We have dyno'ed them at 10" per second set at ywelve clicks and haven't had any fail, so my shock guy thinks that you most likely have to replace some worn or torn seals. The cost for the teardown and reassembly with Amsoil is $50/shock plus parts. Seals run about $15 per set and if the piston is shot, then you are looking at about $15 more.
