Missed shift 3rd to 4th need help with .....
Friday I was pulling redline in third gear missed the shift to 4th and ended up in second ! What a rush. Melded the clutch I assume I reached the limit of the clutch's ability, better than a motor.
so I need help with finding and replacing the clutch m/c , suggestions on new clutch. It was a center force clutch/pressure plate w/ steel billet flywheel.
in my opinion I think the reason for the missed shift was two fold the B/W shifter and the clutch Hydraulics :flag

Man, been there done that!
Better do a compression check for bent valves or push rods.
You can spend more money, but Luk Pro Gold PN# 04-903 with
Alu. flywheel kit. Some ask $795 I bought mine for $680 from Dial-A-Clutch, talk to Tom Storey. If you want background on this clutch call 1-888-462-2739 and ask for Tom Haus.
You will also want to change to the 2002-3 Slave and Master Cyl. Try Pace Performance GM Parts dealer, or GM Parts Direct.

While you're at it, how about a suggestion for a new shifter... a HURST. I haven't missed a gear since I installed mine.
