Just set a new personal best ET with the G-tech... 13.18 @ 111mph (67f ambient temp)
That's with +2mph on the 1-2 shift, +3mph on the 2-3 shift, 50% shift firmness and non-RFG power-tuning.
My previous PB was 13.22 @ 111.1mph (58f ambient temp) with +1mph on the 1-2 shift, +2mph on the 2-3 shift, 50% shift firmness and stock programming.
I'm a little uncomfortable sticking with the Hypertech power tuning cuz I'm getting audible spark-knock for an instant when I snap the throttle open. I think I'm right in saying that the PCM can pull up to 30-degrees of timing in the event of spark-knock, so I don't THINK it should cause me any cause for concern. What do you guys think?
How do these times hold-up given my set-up (see sig)?
I slowed down a tenth from my best ET with the hypertech. I removed the performance tuning and left the fan setting & rev limiter. My next time out I ran within a hundreth of my best. I am thinking of going with the predator next and having RWTD do the tuning. I thought it was just my driving, but as soon as I put the stock tuning back, the ET came along with it :smash:

I've heard all the negativity possible about the hpp3 and realize that for the most part it is a starter program, but when I installed it on my 98 I could feel the difference and I picked up 1.5 mph in the 1/4.
