I have a 2000 coupe MN6. I have just purchased vararam, plugs, wires, shifter, thermo, throttle body by-pass and a diablo programmer all of which I will be installing in a couple weeks. Now I have two questions:
1. I have been told that the stock MAF is more than enough for the mods and with the vararam, aftermarket MAF's have caused trouble. Can anyone share any experience on this?
2. Can the programmer be used more than once? (Not sure exactly how they work). I am sure I will be doing more mods as money allows. will I need to re-program and as I change intake, gear etc...??
Re: programmer question from a novice (Fish Elvis)
I would leave the stock MAF and just remove the screen. It flows fine for stock motor, from what I've read. The predator is a nice unit. Once you load it to your vette, it marries itself to your VIN. It can only be used on that car. (Unless you're a computer whiz, like some guys I read on here tapping into the programming. That's a whole other story. The predator can be custom tuned to match your mods. Contact James @ RWTD for the scoop. I know someone here has his email. SCOTT
