Devil Key .... So who needs it????
As you all know when changing shifters the {"devil key" is a real pain in the butt, so now that I have my new shifter in - why do I need to use the devil key if I just screw the stock **** on tight? Seems like it is going nowhere without it - might have to give it a tighning every once in a while, but if I ever want to change *****, I won't have to mess with the devil! So what am I missing here ........

For a round **** you don't need it, and if you got yours to line up right without the key then great, you don't need it either. GM put it in there to keep the stock **** lined up after it was screwed on, since it does matter what direction the stock **** is pointed. I put a round **** on mine, so I just screwed it on tight, and stored the key with the stock ****. :cheers:
