are you all mad. My car has 38lbs of oil pressure at idle and 60 at WOT (on N2O). If you are running only 6lbs, I would seriously check your dipsticks.

I just bought a 99 A4 Coupe that seems to have very low oil pressure also. It doesn't read 40 psi cold!
The dealer changed the oil to Mobile One 5W30.....I do have the GM extended warranty for 12/12.
The car runs pretty strong, doesn't smoke. It just turned over 37k miles.
Ideas? Should I worry?

That doesn't seem right to me. Mine is well over 40 when cold. At 230+, I never see below 20psi at idle. I took it to 2 separate dealers a few years ago thinking 20psi at hot idle was too low; both said the spec on the ls1 was 6psi hot idle.

sounds low to me. I have always seen 28+ at idle with an oil temp of 230 or so. Dealers have said everything is fine as long as you have 6 psi for every 1000 RPM. I don't think I would be comfortable there, but I don't know what options you would have without spending some $$$
