Pulling the motor
Keith
joel(Bink)
Just pulled mine last Saturday from a 2002 coupe A4.... to be honest it must have been one of the easier motors i have ever pulled... It didn't take long at all and most everything can be done by yourself, the hardest part i would have to say was the radiator and it helps to have 2 people, other than that it was not a problem. Rear Diff doesnt need to be removed. depending if you have an automatic or six speed im not sure, but with the automatic you just slide under the car remove the rubber gromet sheild thing, undo the (6) center bolts that connect to the flywheel and the (6 or 8) i dont remember bell housing bolts that connect to the engine. If i had to put an hour fiure on there i would have to say about 8-10 hours, which included removing heads and intake and all accessories, now that I ve done it i can most likely do it in about 6-8 hours. This is im my garage with no lift using jacks
Edit* YOU MUST SUPPORT THE TORQUE TUBE with another jack *
Hope this helps!!!
