Got mine from Andy for $1200.....Lawton charged $600 for the install which is alittle high but worth it for me to not have to drive to Andy's.
Of course the perfomance gain is incredible but what most people forget to mention is how much easier the car is to drive. Getting out of first gear is simple and required very little gas to do so. This can be huge if your stuck in traffic.
The best price that I have found for 3.90 / 4.10 is $1195 plus your core. WEstCoast & A&A sell it for that last time I checked.
Rich, why don't you buy one and we can try installing it? We will do yours first and if it works, we'll do mine :p: .
If you send me a carrier I can build them with your choice of ratio for $795. :)
Whats the turn around time? Will they whine at all? Can you do 3:90's?
:withstupid:
although I think whining is subjective. Case and point is when I changed rear end fluids, I became hypersensitive (in hindsight) to every sound and rpm pitch. After awhile I forgot about it and now no whine. Go figure. :jester
Hey Guys, turnaround time is 1 day. If I get the gears in the morning I can usually get them out by the end of day. We can do any ratio and have not had any problems with noise.. :seeya :seeya

Is your car a daily driver? I only drive mine on weekends. Is there an apreciable difference in acceleration with a 3.90 v 4.10?

No ..I have an SUV that I drive during the week.
I have a spreadsheet that I can email you , it outlines the various RPM/Speed's based on the gearing you select.
If you have an A4,the 4.10's may be a little deep.they are perfect with a m6 though.it cost me $460 to have the differential swapped out by my local dealership.not the gear installed, the complete differential changed out.
