That whole free market supply and demand thing. As with any product you're trying to recoup development and production costs, maximize return over a limited opportunity period, etc. Plus it's the cat's pyjamas. :D

The software itself is a little pricey -- but what you're paying for is the experience/expertise of the person using it to tune your car. In may cae, it took a few hours of labor plus a handful of dyno pulls during the process. Also (in my case) I can go back and have it re-done whenever I do any other mods as long as I own the car.
