Right now I am having a set of Z06 Chromies and new tires installed. The wheels and lugs are originally from West Coast Corvettes, but I bought them used a few weeks ago from a fellow here in town.
The shop called a few minutes ago telling me that the inside of the new chrome lugs are quite rusted, and they're using my factory (97 C5) lugs instead, since they didn't want the rust to cause problems on the wheel studs.
My question is: Are all C5 wheels and lugs the same? i.e. is there any potential incompatibility between the Z06 wheels and the lugs from my fat-spoke 97 wheels?
With my GSX, I had to use the appropriate lugs with my K1's versus stock wheels, so I just want to make sure that GM's stuff all interchanges, or if not, that I should get new lugs in a hurry!
As a secondary question, they said that my pressure sensors would not fit in the new Z06 fronts, although the rears were apparently fine. Ah well - I'm not using runflats anymore anyways. Is that something you guys have experience before?
I guess I can sell the sensors now for a few extra bucks - thanks for any help.
You should have no compatability problem. They (or you) should be able to clean up the chrome lug nuts with a little rust remover or the type of acid they use to clean cement. A (small) touch of anti-seize compound is a good idea too. :)

I could be wrong, but I thought anti-sieze on lugnuts was a :nono: because it affects the torque values. Anyone???
