Well, the electric valves are $259 (for 2), and the section of pipes to either side of the valves are custom made, but very cheap. After all, they're just regular ol 2.5" pipes. The cost will be in labor, my muffler guy charged me 2 hours, rate depends on your area. I must also add that the wires are not connected to a power source, that's something I can do in my garage soon.
AFAIK, cutouts are mainly for the louder sound. Negligible power gain. I'll definitely do a dyno of open vs. closed soon. It's just a progression towards deafness really, initially I loved the stock Z06 exhaust sound, then it became not so loud, so I added headers/no cats, sounds cool for a few months, but my ears got acclimated, so now this. :D

Huh? What? Can you speak up a little louder please I can't hear you. :lolg:
Thanks for sharing the pics. I've read about these several times and just couldn't  figure out where these cutouts were placed, now I can  .
I finally received my cutouts yesterday from McCord. I bought the FLP cutout tubes that replace the FLP ORP's/Cats and the cutouts fit together with these. I should be installing in a couple of weeks since I'll be out of town the rest of the week.
If you place them before the cats, you will have to move the front o2 sensors... If you want to do this, get o2 simulators for the rear o2 sensors, and get two o2 sensor "bungs" from SummitRacing and weld them into the header...
A side note, Summit Racing has 2 1/2" cutouts for 25.00 a piece, and there is a company I found on this forum that sells the electronic valves for the cutouts for something like 100.00 to 150.00.
I am running cutouts between the headers and the cats and I must say that the sound is awesome. There is alot more top end power with a loss of low-end torque (but you can just open them after you get rolling.)
The cutouts I have from the store stated above don't look like the ones pictured above, mine are shaped like a lowercase "y" with the cutouts facing down.
