This video was from some of my runs a few weeks back when I actually stepped the nitrous shot down to a 175 shot to try to dial the car to run as close to 10.0 as possible until I get my 5-point roll bar converted to a full cage, the car was supposed to be at the chassis shop right now,but unfortunately I had an accident with it on the street and took out two trees and a fence on Memorial Day weekend which caused 12,000.00 of body damage, the good news is I get it back next week and it'll look brand new, with a new paint scheme, hood, and rear spoiler. http://www.cartek.net/videos/mike992.wmv
Billjax,I know what you mean about not being able to hear it shift,I think it was due to where the person taking the video was standing,I can hear shift to second and that's it,here's another video from behind the car where you can hear it shift, you can hear it shift into overdrive before the end of the run which killed some ET and MPH, http://www.cartek.net/videos/mike988.wmv
Mike ..That's a keeper!! Wicked run!!!:smash: ..I can't wait to get to the track with my new CCW drag setup...Your a true inspiration for us A4 guys!! :smash:
Sorry about the car wreck..I'm sure you will be back better than ever :yesnod:
Steve,The drivability impresses me the most about this car and is what I like about a nitrous set up,the day this video was shot,I drove the car from Cartek to Atco, about a 75 mile drive, and got caught in a huge 10-mile back up on the NJ Turnpike where it was stop and go for the whole 10 miles and it was a warmer day 75-80F,and the car never went over 185-degrees and didn't cough or sputter once in all the 5mph traffic, then I got to the track, hooked up the bottle, ripped off a few 9-second runs and drove it home.I may be at E-town on the 28th,I'm supposed to get the car back from the body shop early next week.
Thanks,The car is a blast to drive both on and off the spray, although on the street, with street tires it's a beast, and likes to hunt trees,as I found out,I was lucky my car wasn't totalled,I have brand new tires on the front, and new BFG 295-35-18' drag radials out back, hopefully I'll have a little more traction on the street.
I'll be looking to get something like this or a lingenfelter in a year or two. I'm curious how your package price compares to that of lingenfelters. I'm not asking for you to give an exact number, just higher, lower or about the same. With lingenfelter, you'd almost have to go with the twin turbo to compete with yours? Does that sound right? or am I on crack or something?
I think the twin turbo is like 50k.
Someday I'll have a car like yours. I can't wait. :auto:
