I was just cruising over on LS1tech and saw that Alan from Futral Motorsports just laid down 492rwhp and 410rwtq on a 346cid motor. Dont know all of the specs but it is testing a new sheet metal intake. :yesnod: Dyno queen..I think not, he's been 128mph all motor.
Phillip
Judging by the low (410Torque)numbers,the car sounds like a high revving High HP,no bottom end,7500rpm,solid roller set up.Awesome power out of a 346 though.

Your right. RPM = displacement with the right gears. Nothing new. Just ls1 crappy intake technology advancing.
I have a feeling that with the new intake manifolds coming out soon, you will see many new solid roller cars coming out of the woodworks. I have seen a graph of one spin up to 8000 rpm's on a LS6 motor.
As Shirl Dickey builds my 436 solid roller, one of the biggest airflow bottlenecks (the intake) continues to be a conundrum. He is working with some viable solutions, for sure, but we are also cognizant of these sheet metal intakes. With the wild cam we plan to go with (something like 248/256 .640/.650 111 lsa), we definitely need intake. I would sure like to see some dyno research with this intake vs. ported and stock ls6 intakes. 492rwhp is awesome for any motor, let alone a stock displacement motor. kudos.
