I just bought a set of TR55IX plugs, and I checked the gap from the factory . They are all .055, is this gap OK, and do the plugs have to be torqued, my plug wires are on back order, I think all you guys are putting in new plugs and wires. My car is a little hard starting , hope this helps, thanks for your help as usual, Jim.

Jim leave them alone and install them the way they were gapped, especially if your Vette is stock, I've got them in my 383 engine in my SS Camaro, after 23k the gap is still around .058. Don't forget that even with the pucks falling the stock plugs they still fire. Plus you stand a chance snapping the iridium tip. Install and :steering:
I gapped my TR55's at .045 on the advice of a local tuner. said it would help decrease the chance of knock under hard acceleration during the hot summer months here in Dallas.
