Default PCV modifications.....

Hey guys just wanted some feed back on the PCV modifications and what has seemed to work the best. AFAIK the 2 possible solutions were:
1) LS6 valley cover and PCV
2) Catch can/filter in LS1 system
What works the best for long term?
Phillip

I am using the air compressor filer catch can. Work great with the white filter element removed( it just unscrews ). One of the best $20 mods :)

I was thinking about using the suction side of my (no longer in use) emissions air pump for a crankcase evacuator. what do you think about that?
What would happen if some unburned fuel gasses went through it...booom?
Would it be too much vacuum? How would the car behave with no more PCV air coming into the throttle body?

I use the Campbell Hausen (air compressor filter) and although there was a big debate about loosing power. Mine catches oil every week, a few tea spoons full :D

I think a combo of 1+2 is the best, but I just run #1 myself and it seems a lot better than before. Last year I ran an electric crankcase vacuum pump and a catchcan...seemed to suck up a whole lot of oil. Maybe just the catchcan would be better.

I'm running both the LS6 valley cover and the C/H filter. I get a little bit of oil in the filter ONLY if I go to WOT, otherwise normal driving doesn't accumulate any. In 3000 miles I've got about 1/4 teaspoon in the bottom of the filter "can". It's nice knowing that isn't going into the intake manifold- when I installed the valley cover there was a nice film of oil on everything.
